Pesaro and Urbino is the northernmost province in the Marche region, and as such representing a strategic crossroads from the touristic point of view. Situated between the Adriatic sea and the Apennine mountains in direct contact with Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria, it is the ideal base from where to visit and explore the territories of central Italy, of which it is a prime example.

Urbino is a wonderful town in the Marche. It deserves a visit even when you have to take a bit of a detour to get here.

Urbino remains one of the most important towns in the Marche - indeed in Italy - for the tourist in search of great Italian art and architecture and its beguiling streets well reward the curious traveller.
