Gruppo Teatro Danza "DUENDE
The "Gruppo teatro-danza Duende" , was officially established in 1994 on the initiative of Enza Curto, dancer and choreographer; its initial aim was to create a group of dancers trained under her direction, some of which were already members of the corps de ballet at the "Teatro di Tradizione Politeama Greco" in Lecce, mingled with some young local actors/mimes. The group that derives its name from the spanish word "duende" which identifies the sprite of creativity and energy, has one unique great aim: to unveil sensations, madness, anxieties, happiness and grief, to create the emotion and give it to the audience, performing life through different choreographic scenes enriched with selected music, poetry and many other forms of artistic expression.
