Sanremo

San Remo is the capital town of the Italian Riviera of Flowers. Its climate has been widely appreciated since the 1800's, but its artistic heritage, permeated by that typically Ligurian shyness, which escapes from any focus of attention, is still largely unknown. As a matter of fact, its views are extremely suggestive and its architecture and landscape make of this strip of land expanding up to the French boundary a real pearl of Italy.

Thursday 28th February, from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m., the inauguration of 6th ‘Calabria in Festival’ will take place at Villa Ormond in Corso Cavallotti, Sanremo.The event will be open to the public from 29th and 2nd March, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. On the occasion typical Calabrese products will be displayed and tasted.

Every year, in March, for a week, in Italy, we stop all things comes Sanremo: "The Italian Music Festival" , is a manifestation of italian songs, it is in Sanremo a little town between Genova, one of biggest european's port, in Nord-Italy, and Montecarlo, France. Sanremo it's as "Superball" in USA , all the world watch it, speak about it, all radios, televisions, newspapers and music italian sites are full of life of singers, gossip, and many others things.

The Italian Riviera is famed for its all-year-round mild climate, and was a popular destination for European nobility, who could promenade along the sea front or stake their inheritance on the fall of dice in the coast's casinos. The Mediterranean resort is busier and hotter in summer, but makes a pleasant destination at almost any time of the year. Within Italy, one of Sanremo's chief claims to fame is as the host resort for an annual pop music competition, the Sanremo Festival. Unless you have a real passion for contemporary Italian pop music, it's best to avoid the crowded city in the first weeks of March.
