Let’s discover together the small village in the northeastern region of Trentino Alto Adige: Fiera di Primiero. Originally part of the austroungarian reign, during which the villlage knew an incredible socio-economic growth, Fiera di Primiero became the capital of the urbanization in which it is located. Its monuments still have the typical features of the tyrolean architecture, as you can see from the image of the main church of the village in the photo here above.

This village, the second smallest one in Italy (after the city of Atrani in Campania), offers some typical delicious dishes. Let’s talk here of the following two ones: Canederli and Tosela di Primiero.

canederli

Canederli are gnocchi made of bread, milk, eggs, parsley and onion, accompanied by bacon slices. These gnocchi are cooked in boiled, salted water and can be eaten in a soup or as a first dish with melted butter. Canaderli are a typical German dish, which can be useful to prepare if you still have leftovers in your kitchen.

tosela

Tosèla di Primiero is a fresh table cheese, which can be quickly cooked in a pan with a little bit of butter. When they get their typical golden colour, they can be served with a pinch of salt and accompanied by the so-called polenta and mushrooms. Enjoy your meal!
